Is the winter of 2010-2011 going to be a repeat of last winter? Given that we have had snow on the ground for a solid week with more predicted (including the possibility of a VERY white Christmas), this scenario seems likely. I'm not sure that I'm going to approve. (Not that Mother Nature cares.)

Just found your blog via your comment on Jesse's. I think you are correct, this is the same as last year. What is funny is that several writers of other blogs that I read are in New England and they complained last year and this year about their lack of snow. I think we are getting theirs. I've been wondering if it has to do with the path of the jet stream which last year and this year seems to be coming straight across the country instead of dipping from Canada as it usually does?? Hmmm. . . Well, let's hope things turn around in January.
Oh, I love your blog. One of the things that gets me through the dreary days are the birds. I just love watching them. We've had a lot of Juncos here as well (Ritchie Co.). I saw two little Carolina Wrens yesterday, very exciting!
Thanks for your kind words, Shanda. The weather does seem strange to me; our niece down in Raleigh has had way more snow than we've had, and my step-daughter in Atlanta is battling ice.
I love wrens, too. My mother always described them as "briggity," which I don't think is a word but does carry the feeling of wren-ness.
